....back in Sept. on our ride from the airport in Seattle out to the Gorge our good friend Claire had mentioned that she was making the trip out to see "Jason Mraz w/special guests Dave Matthews Band". I informed her that Jason was the opening act for DMB, NOT the other way around. She then told me that was the way it was on Jason's website. I then set her straight by saying "yeah, that will be the day!".....but, after seeing Jason's show saturday night I now understand what she was talking about. DON'T GET ME WRONG...I'm sure DMB will NEVER open for Jason Mraz but i'm almost just as sure that Jason will no longer be the opening act for DMB or any other band. This talented young man is headed for the top!

This was a great great show.....I haven't seen a band this happy to be on-stage performing in a long long time, you could tell they enjoyed being there just as much as the audience. All throughout the show Jason was personable and very entertaining. His set was filled with a high quality pop music some familiar with a few new songs from his upcoming album. I do believe his next album, which is being produced by the incomparable Mr. Lillywhite, will lift Jason into a tour headliner in no time at all.....

Despite flying down to socal and driving the 60 miles out to Ventura from Burbank in what has been the worse rain storm to hit in recent memory, it was worth it just to see Deana so giddy.....you know, like those women they show going crazy over Elvis or the Beatles whenever you see those old clips from their shows....yeah, just like that! Good stuff.
